Where are you located?

Our studio is located in Holly Springs, Georgia, which is just a bit north of Woodstock. Address and directions can be found on our ‘About the Studio’ page.

How are these photos different from my yearbook photos?

The photos you will take for your yearbook will be done so that they all look uniform. While you usually can’t decide what your yearbook photo will look like, you CAN decide what your Pixelette senior photos will look like. You will get more variety and style than any yearbook photo.

What should I expect during my session?

Our portrait sessions are relaxed. We will talk, laugh, and have a good time while making some really cool photos. We will try to get a variety of posed and candid shots to best capture your style.

What should I bring?

We can usually fit 2 outfits in an hour. Bring more than you think you will need to be on the safe side. Imagine what you would like your dream fashion editorial to look like and decide from there.
Include different styles, such as casual, semiformal, formal or outdoors, so you can take several pictures and get your best shots. Remember to bring accessories for all outfits, from footwear to jewelry and hair accents. Check shoes to be sure they are clean and that both socks match. Check your clothing ahead of time to make sure it isn’t spotted or faded, and transport your outfits (you can wear one when you arrive) on hangers to prevent wrinkles. Don’t stress too much over bringing the perfect outfit. Bring things that you are comfortable in and that describe you!

If you have chosen our Couture Package, we can help with your styling! Our styling expert will help you accessorize your outfit and pick out the best looks from what you have brought. Since a lot of our seniors go clothes shopping just for their photos, our style expert can give you some ideas before the session to help you pick out the coolest outfits and accessories!

What about hair and makeup?

Wear your makeup as you would for a night out. Don’t try to experiment on the day of your photos, you don’t want to decide you hate the color lipstick you were wearing and then hate all your photos. The same goes for hair. If you want to get your hair done before the session, make sure you really love it before committing to a new style. Also make sure you bring your makeup and hair products with you for touch ups.

If you have chosen the Couture Package that includes hair and makeup services, come in with a clean face. Skin on face should be clean and moisturized, with no makeup.
Hair will be styled in the look you picked during your consultation. Your hair doesn’t need to be immaculately clean, since we’re going to add product to it, but if your hair is typically oily, a shampoo the day of will help keep your style. Please come with fully dried hair. Feel free to bring anything such as hats, clips/barrettes, etc that you want to customize your look better.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes! Anyone is welcome to come with you as long as you feel comfortable taking photos with them around. If you feel having Mom or Dad watching is going to make you nervous, bring a best friend instead. We can even take a couple photos with you and your session buddy.

How should I prepare?

Practice your facial expressions and poses. Before you go to the photo shoot, practice your facial expressions in front of a mirror at home. We will, of course, direct you and tell you what looks good at the actual session, but it helps to be aware of what looks good before hand.
Relax and have fun! We want these pictures to capture your natural style and beauty, so just don’t stress out! We will have a great time and if you are happy, it will show in your photos.

Do you require an in studio consultation?

Consultations are only required if you choose to book the Couture Session. We ask that seniors booking this session come meet with us first so we can discuss your hair, makeup, and style options and customize your photo shoot to the fullest.
While other sessions do not require consultations, we strongly recommend them! It helps for us to get to know each other before the shoot. Plus, it’s free!

When should I book my session?

Our photo sessions are usually booked about 3 weeks in advance, so we recommend booking your session a month early to ensure availability.
