About Me
February 3, 2009![]()
My name is Allison Rose. That’s me up there. I like to change my look. Often. I also like to take pictures! I created Pixelette so I could take pictures all the time. My goal is to make sure the people I shoot are having as much fun as I am. And that’s not too hard since I am silly enough to make anyone laugh. At me. But that’s okay, I don’t mind. Want to learn more about getting your own fashion inspired portraits? Visit the Pixelette website.
Enough rambling, I say! The best way to let the world know who I really am is to talk about the stuff I like. In list form, of course. So here’s a short list of my favorite things. Photos included.
Allison’s favorite things:
1. 80’s music Keytars, synthesizers, drum machines… these things make me smile! I am totally not the dancing type, but a good peppy 80’s song almost makes me want to start. Almost. |
2. Books. And lots of em! I love to read a good book! And I also love to listen to audiobooks on long car rides. The Neverending Story is one of my favorite books of all time. I also have a weakness for cheesy romance novels. Yeah, yeah, I know. |
3. Classic Video Games I am a fan of current video games, of course, but I have a special place in my heart for the video games of my youth. As a child of the new technology generation, I grew up playing the video games of the early 80s. Remember when there were no graphics? When you had to type in what you wanted to do? Love that! Occasionally I will drag one of these old games out and try it again. |
4. Coffee You either love it or you hate it. I am not ashamed to admit I enjoy a good cup of coffee. I like it extra milky. With peppermint. I recently aquired an espresso machine so I can feed my addiction in the comfort of my own home. Nothing better than that! |
5. Kitties! Life without cats is no life at all! They’re fuzzy. They purr. And well, they are freakin cute! This one is Draco, my youngest kitty. He likes to sit at the window and chirp at the birds. |
6. Popcorn I think 60% of the reason I ever go to the movie theater is for the popcorn. Of course it needs to be covered in butter. The worse it is for me, the better! Paired with a nice Cherry Coke and we have the perfect movie experience. |
7. Board Games Even though I can never talk anyone into playing Monopoly…ever. I make an effort to have a board game night every few months and now I get new games for every birthday and christmas. My collection is getting kind of monstrous. |

What?! Nobody will play monopoly with you?! That’s one of the standbys in my house. Bored? Break out the monopoly!
