Ok I admit it. I am falling in love with this style. I spent some time trying to improve my techniques from last time and am having a good time fiddling with all the possibilities. So here’s my new batch of edits. Which of these do you think works best?

As an aside, I was asked if I would share the editing process for my future retouch updates. Yes, I promise I will! I just usually don’t keep track of what I do, and there’s a lot of back and forth fiddling involved so I don’t always remember my exact process. I will do my best to write down my steps and hopefully you can try these edits at home too.

Retro 70s style 2

Just for the fun of it, I decided to make a silly little video on my last photoshoot. It was taken with the worst camera phone ever, so we definitely won’t be winning any awards for cinematography, but it was a lot of fun regardless. I especially love how Emma finds it difficult to keep a straight face with a video camera on her.

Has anyone noticed the poor quality of videos uploaded to you tube? I think I’ll try Vimeo for my next vid.

Emma is super cute with super cute dimples. Which obviously made her a great model! She had purchased her wedding dress after getting engaged, but in the end, ended up having a simple ceremony and never got to wear her beautiful dress! So we decided she needed the chance to get glammed up as every girl should once in a while.  We enlisted the help of the talented Lindze Merrit for makeup and styling and made a lot of great fashion-inspired portraits.
